Hayden, Elizabeth A., ‘Betty’, 83, of ‘Harborview’, 3663 Pawtucket Avenue, died peacefully on December 12, 2016.

Born in East Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Richard L. and Ellen (Lynch) Hayden, she lived in Riverside for 21 years previously residing in Boston, MA and Las Vegas, NV.

Mrs. Hayden was a graduate of Boston College and then went on to receive her Master’s degree at Boston University Class of 1973.

Elizabeth was a Registered Nurse at Winthrop Hospital Maternity Ward for many years.

Betty was a former secretary for the Harborview Tennant’s Association. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nursing Association and the East Providence AARP Chapter #1302.

She is survived by two sisters, Helen Maiella of Riverside and Grace Backman of Marlboro, MA and six nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday morning 11 a.m.-12 noon.
