McGee, Elizabeth, L., ‘Betty,’ 75, formerly of Dyer Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on Friday January 28, 2011 at the Evergreen House. She was the wife of the late Donald J. McGee.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William and Kathleen (Gilmore) Ueding, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mrs. McGee was an elementary school teacher for the East Providence School Department for 25 years before retiring in 1981.

Elizabeth was a communicant of St. Brendan Church where she was a former C.C.D. teacher. She was a graduate of Rhode Island College and enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters; Anne M. McGee-Stuttard and her husband Norman of Riverside and Catherine L. Johnston and her husband Jeffrey of Riverside, a son; Thomas J. McGee of Coventry, two sisters; Cathleen Rosa of St. Louis, MO and Helen Roberts of Florida and four grandchildren; Chelsea Johnston, Stephanie Stuttard, Benjamin Johnston and Carly McGee.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday February 1, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
