Tweedly, Elma, (Truppa), 85, of Baxter Lane, Greenville, died peacefully on March 24, 2016 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Tweedly Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria (Scaglione) Truppa, she lived in Greenville for 52 years.

Mrs. Tweedly was a retail Manager for the former Jordan Marsh and the Peerless Stores for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She is survived by a son, Charles A. Tweedly Jr. and his wife Karen of Millbury, MA; a daughter, Karen A. Tweedly Allen of Barrington and a grandson, Michael C. Tweedly of Millbury, MA. She was the mother-in-law of the late George B. Allen Sr. and sister of the late Maria T. Verona, Antonette Arcaro, Viola Chirico, Petronella DeMarco, Romilda DiCasparro, Vincent, Pasquale, Salvatore and Amico Truppa.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 9 a.m. Burial will be held in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
