Tompkins, Eloise, P., 90, of Old County Road, died peacefully on January 7, 2016. She was the wife of the late Charles B. Tompkins.

Born in Chile, a daughter of the late Robert and Gwladys (Joseph) Hamilton, she lived in Barrington for 52 years.

Mrs. Tompkins was a school psychiatrist in the Foxboro School Department for several years.

Eloise was a graduate of Harvard University, where she also received her Master’s degree. She was a member of the Harvard Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was devoted to her loving family.

She is survived by three sons, Timothy J. Tompkins of Boston, GA, Robert M. Tompkins of Bristol and Christopher P. Tompkins of Barrington; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Charles H. Tompkins, grandmother of the late Beth Edgette and sister of the late Ben and Jeff Hamilton.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday January 9, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 4 p.m. Calling hours are Saturday afternoon 2-4 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
