Powers, Ethel, M., 92, of Riverside, died peacefully on May 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Vincent D. Powers.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary (Harty) Lawless, she lived in Riverside for 60 years.

Mrs. Powers was a 60 year communicant of St. Brendan Church where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a former member of the Rosary and Altar society.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Wayland of Riverside and Elizabeth A. Hubbard of Riverside; two sons, Donald J. Powers of Barrington and James S. Powers of Rumford; a niece, Ann Kerrigan-Amaral of Westerly; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Aileen Kerrigan.

Her funeral will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
