  10. Our dear friend and neighbor Eva Soares was one of our very first friends at St. Elizabeth Terrace. She totally loved Brownie, my little 12lb dog, and Brownie adored both her and her big fluffy Maine Coon Cat with the crossed eyes….BLUE.

I had spent an afternoon with her just a couple days before she was taken ill and she was fine, in great spirits and we laughed and chatted and watched Brownie and Blue play with each other on the living room floor. We never had a conversation where she didn’t mention her son Rich, whom she was fiercely supportive of and devoted to and whom she adored.

She was a warm, friendly, and wonderful neighbor and we always knew we could depend on each other even if it was just to borrow a roll of paper towels or when she just couldn’t figure out her smartphone or how to adjust the satellite reception on the television. She would be the first to say…”I’m just not a Techie” and laugh about it.

We will miss her immensely, and Brownie will miss pulling me over to her car when she came home from doing errands to greet her with lots of whining and a wagging tail….they say dogs are a good judge of Character and Brownie certainly loved Eva.

Happy trails Eva, may you be rewarded for a job well done.
Tomorrow is promised to no one….make every day count!
    Little Brownie and Paul Gallant
