GREENE, EVA G. (DeBARROS), 84, formerly of East Providence died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Steere House, Providence. She was the wife of the late Irving ‘Sonny’ Greene and Harry ‘Buddy’ Jackson, Sr.

Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late Manuel and Dominga (Valles) DeBarros.

She was employed as a receptionist for the RI Lottery Commission before retiring in 1990. Eva served on the Executive Board of the Democratic State Committee and was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1984.

She is survived by her son Rodney P. Jackson, her beloved granddaughter, Lea Caraman, a grandson Harry Jackson, III and a sister, Rosa Mendoza. She was the mother of the late Harry ‘Butchie’, Jr. and Robert ‘Bobby’ Jackson.

Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Visitation prior to the service 9-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Steere House, 100 Borden Street, Providence, RI 02903
