Evelyn C. (Lombardi) Rahmani

Date of Passing:

July 8, 2025

Evelyn C. (Lombardi) Rahmani, 73, of Linden Road in Barrington, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the cherished wife and lifelong partner of Mohammad H. Rahmani, with whom she shared 52 loving years of marriage.

Born in Providence, Evelyn was the devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Pagano) Lombardi. She made her home in Barrington for over 40 years, creating a warm and welcoming life centered around family, tradition, and community.

Evelyn was the co-owner and operator of Portabella in Newport for a decade, where her love of food and hospitality touched countless lives. Her passion for cooking, lively games of mahjong, and heartfelt gatherings with family and friends were the cornerstones of a life filled with joy and connection. Due to her husband’s occupation, she developed a passion for living in various countries around the world while always carrying her native Barrington roots.

Above all, Evelyn was a deeply loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her husband Mohammad, and their three sons—Jason and Kavon Rahmani of Barrington, and Cameron Rahmani of Swansea, MA. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Ellie Oliveira Rahmani, and a beloved sister to Peter Lombardi of Warwick and Joseph “Chip” Lombardi of Missouri.

Evelyn’s warmth, strength, and compassion left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to be part of her life.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance at her Funeral Service on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
