Olson, Evelyn, 73, of Maple Avenue, died peacefully on November 11, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Donald V. Olson.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Ralph and Natalina (Iacavone) Montella Sr., she lived in Barrington for 53 years.

Mrs. Olson was a crossing guard for the Barrington School Department for the past 20 years.

Evelyn was a communicant of Holy Angel Church. She enjoyed knitting and sewing.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons; Harold Degnan Jr. of East Providence and Stephen Degnan of East Providence, her brother and sisters; Alessandra Cozzolino, Laura Martino, Vincenza Toro, Assunta Lisi, Ralph Montella Jr., John Montella, Palmina Ferrara and Olga Dean and three grandchildren; Ryan, John and Luke Degnan. She was the sister of the late Angelina Russo, Angelo and Salvatore Montella.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday November 14, 2009 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angel Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 9 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
