McCaffrey, Florence P., 91, of Agawam Road, died unexpectedly on January 4, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. McCaffrey.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Oro and Helena (Harding) Poland, she lived in Barrington for 59 years.

Mrs. McCaffrey was a transcriptionist for the Rhode Island Hospital Department of Pathology for 20 years before retiring in 1985.

Florence was a communicant of St. Luke Church.

She is survived by two sons, Craig S. McCaffrey of Barrington and Paul B. McCaffrey of Mystic, CT and two daughters, Pamela J. McCaffrey of Bristol and Jane C. McCaffrey of Bristol. She was the sister of the late Helen Whitman.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
