Taylor, Frances, V., 90, of Providence, died peacefully on Sunday December 26, 2010. She was the wife of the late Edmund Taylor.

Born in Bound Brook, NJ, a daughter of the late Peter and Carmella (Patulo) Pontrelli, she lived in Providence for 70 years.

Mrs. Taylor was a teacher’s aid for the Providence School Department for 30 years before retiring in 1982. She enjoyed reading, boating and dining out.

She is survived by a son; Edmund G. Taylor and his wife Cathleen of Riverside, two brothers; William C. Pontrelli of North Providence and Anthony Pontrelli of Charlestown, three grandchildren; Jessica Taylor and her fianc Sean Palazzi, Edmund R. Taylor and Anastasia Taylor and one great granddaughter; Layla Palazzi. She was the sister of the late Daniel Pontrelli, Peter Pontrelli, Gemma Marasino, Minnie Ricci, Mary Corvese, Edith Ianone and Eva Lough.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
