Banisch, Francis J., ‘Frank’, 82, of Henry Drive, died peacefully on Saturday November 26, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Beck) Banisch.

Born in Guttenberg, NJ, a son of the late Francis J. and Christine E. (Luchsinger) Banisch, he lived in Barrington for 41 years.

Mr. Banisch was a sales and marketing manager for the Fortifiber Corp. of North Attleboro, MA for more than 20 years, before retiring in 1996.

Frank was a communicant, lector, and Eucharistic minister at St. Luke Church where he was also a past president of the parish council and a member of the Young at Heart Club.

Mr. Banisch was a graduate of Fordham University, Class of 1951.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his children; Francis J. Banisch III and his wife Diane of Stockton, NJ, Thomas J. Banisch and his wife Eileen of Madison, CT, Mary Ellen Banisch and her husband Scott Welch of New York City, NY, David J. Banisch of Flemington, NJ and Claire C. Flaherty and her husband Robert of Warwick, his grandchildren; Cara E. O’Donnell, Matthew J. Banisch, Andrew J. Banisch, Rachael Banisch, Christopher C. Banisch, Sean F. Banisch, Jennifer E. Flaherty, Veronica C. Flaherty, Austin E. Flaherty and Brigid C. Flaherty and two great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
