Shea, Francis W., Jr., 73, of Atria Bay Spring, 147 Bay Spring Avenue, died on January 7, 2019. He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (Lynch) Shea. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 11, 2019.

Born in Boston, MA, a son of the late Francis W. Shea Sr. and Florence (Ryan) Shea, he lived in Barrington for the past four years previously residing in Milton, MA.

Mr. Shea was a Manager in the Insurance Industry for 35 years before retiring in 2002.

Francis was a member of the Knights of Columbus Milton, MA Council, the Boys Scouts of America and the IATSE Local Union.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Shea-Schwacke of West Chester, PA, John Shea of Baltimore, MD; Deborah (Shea) Sheehan of Barrington and Patrick Shea of Londonderry, NH; two sisters, Valerie Dalton of Dorchester, MA and Marie Harris of Hingham, MA; a brother, Philip “Bud” Shea of Randolph, MA and ten grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.

Calling hours are Saturday morning 8-10 a.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Francis memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904 would be deeply appreciated.

  2. Frank and his late wife Catherine were neighbors of ours in Milton.I remember the good times we had at block parties ,and are sorry to hear of his passing.A good father and man will be missed .May he Rest in Peace with the Lord.

  3. Lost a friend and coworker of many years. My sorrows to the family.
    Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the services as my wife just came home from the hospital and is on an IV needing to be changed daily at 10AM.
