Squittiere, Francis (Frank) X. passed away at home on July 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Emily Verde Squittiere to whom he had been married for 69 years.

Born in the Bronx, New York, June 21, 1927 he was the son of the late Dominick Squittieri and the late Carmela (Salerno) Squittieri. He was recently a resident of Atria Bay Spring Village in Barrington and was formerly of Plum Road in Riverside for 60 years.

Frank served in the United States Navy during both World War II and the Korean War.

Frank was a graduate of Rider University where he received his degree in accounting. He served as City Controller of East Providence and as the financial analyst for Duro Finishing Company in Fall River until his retirement.

Frank was a communicant of St. Brendan Church for 61 years serving as an Auditor and Trustee for the parish.

Frank was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a member of Montaup Country Club in Portsmouth where he was an avid golfer. He was also a longtime member of the Sons of Italy Loggia Luce Moderna serving as a Treasurer of that organization. Most important to Frank was his family.

Frank is survived by his children: Deborah D’Arezzo (Albert), Donna Patch (Raymond) and Michael Squittiere (Jane). He leaves five grandchildren: Brett D’Arezzo, Merill D’Arezzo, Benjamin Patch, Nathan Patch, Michael Squittiere Jr. and one great-grandchild, Shawn D’Arezzo. He was the brother of the late Domenic Squittiere, Rosemary Pelloni and Michael Squittiere. He was the grandfather of the late Christy M. Squittiere Genske.

His Funeral will be held on Friday July 8, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
