Franklin T. Taylor Sr.

Taylor, Franklin T. Sr., 93, of Lincoln Avenue, Riverside died peacefully on January 8, 2019. He was the beloved husband Dorothy M. (Baggesen) Taylor for seventy three years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Franklin T. and Mary (Holmes) Taylor, he lived in Riverside for 51 years.

Mr. Taylor was a Foreman for the Ferguson Perforating Company for 25 years before retiring in 1987.

Mr. Taylor was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII.

He was a past commander for the Providence Cahill V. F. W. Post # 646. He also was a member of the Coventry Elks Club and enjoyed giving to charities.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Patricia Champagne of Columbia, CT, Franklin T. Taylor III of Riverside, Randolph C. Taylor of Riverside, Dorothy Dias of Riverside, Joan B. Brightman of Cranston and James R. Taylor of Riverside; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was the father of the late John G. Taylor and brother of the late Edgar Taylor and James Rafferty and grandfather of the late Dillion B. Brightman.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 2 p.m.

Calling hours are Saturday afternoon 12-2 p.m.
