LOPES, GENEVIEVE N. (DALUZ), 77, of Randall Street died peacefully on January 4, 2013 at Charlesgate Nursing Center, Providence. She was the former wife of Donald A. Lopes.

Born in Centerville, MA, a daughter of the late Manuel and Rose (Almeida) Daluz. She worked as a lunch aide at Broad St. School for 8 years. She was an avid canasta player and enjoyed music.

She is survived by her beloved son, Darren J. Lopes and his wife Laurie, 3 grandchildren Darren Jr., Sydney and Jay Lopes, and 1 brother Joseph Daluz. She was the mother of the late Jo-Jean M. Lopes, and sister of the late Franklin and Paul Daluz, Rosalie Gomes and Julia Oliver.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name Church, 99 Camp St. Providence, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
