George E. Levasseur

Levasseur, George E., 91, of Brookdale, East Bay Manor, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, died peacefully on November 8, 2018. He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Arsnow) Levasseur.

Born in New Bedford, MA, a son of the late Pierre and Eglantine (Jarry) Levasseur, he lived in East Providence for 3 years and Palm Harbor, FL from 1989-2014.

Mr. Levasseur was a quality control chemist for Haartz Mason Mfg. for 30 years before retiring in 1989.

George was a member of the Knights of Columbus. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golfing, tennis and biking.

Mr. Levasseur was United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II.

He is survived by a son, Edward P. Levasseur of Holliston, MA; a daughter, Nancy A. DelSesto of Barrington; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two sisters, Jeannette Guimond of Tiverton and Lucille Levasseur of Framingham, MA. He was the brother of the late Dolores Reis, Madeline Mansfield, Marguerite Barrett, Irene Bellenoit, Maurice, Leonard and Jean “Johnny” Levasseur.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday November 16, 2018 in St. Mary’s Church, 8 Church Street, Holliston, MA 01746 at 11 a.m.
