George E. Pierce Jr.

Pierce, George E. Jr., 73, of Riverside, died peacefully on February 26, 2014. He was the loving companion of Judy Kelley of Rumford.
Born in Fall River, MA a son of the late G. Elton and Eileen (Moore) Pierce, he lived in Riverside for 60 years.
Mr. Pierce was a truck driver for over 40 years before retiring in 2006.
George was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Prayer Group and Teamsters Local #251. He enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking.
Mr. Pierce was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam era.
Besides his companion, he is survived by a sister, Frances A. Entas of Fairfax, VA, a cousin, John F. Conley of East Providence and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Friday March 7, 2014, from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bristol.
