Forte, Gladys, M., 80, of Catalpa Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on January 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Forte.

Born in Upper Frenchville, Maine, a daughter of the late Patrick and Winifred (Roy) Vaillancourt, she lived in Riverside for 63 years.

Mrs. Forte was a supervisor for the former B.A. Ballou Mfg. for 10 years before retiring in 1997.

Gladys was a communicant of St. Brendan Church.

A wounded heart will heal in time and when it does the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.

Besides her husband of 57 years, she is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Streit and her husband Dennis of Riverside; a son, Michael J. Forte of East Providence; a granddaughter, Ali Streit of Riverside; a brother, Reno Vaillancourt of Sequim, Washington and a sister, Patricia Braddock of Rehoboth, MA. She was the sister of the late Roger Vaillancourt and Theresa Point.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday January 9, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
