Robideau, Grace, M., (Stone), 80, ‘Babysitter’, formerly of Hobson Avenue, died peacefully on March 11, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph Robideau.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Flynn) Stone, she lived in East Providence for 35 years.

Mrs. Robideau was an in home child care provider for 27 years before retiring in 1984.

Grace was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She was a member of the Maria Lodge Sons of Italy and the East Providence Senior Center where she was a member of the Hi-Lo Jack Club. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and was an avid reader.

She is survived by a daughter; Linda M. McCarthy and her husband James of East Providence, two sons; Steven J. Robideau of Middletown and Michael J. Robideau of Mesa, AZ, two sisters; Pearl Gamba of Cranston and Ann Bland of Providence, a brother; Daniel Stone of North Providence, three grandchildren; Krystal and James McCarthy and Larissa Robideau and a loving companion; Michael Dippilito of East Providence. She was the mother of the late Daniel J. Robideau and sister of the late George, Eugene, Jean and John Stone.

Her funeral will be held on Friday March 14, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery.
