Amaral, Gregory, M., 48, formerly of Townhouse Road, died unexpectedly on August 21, 2015.

Born in Providence on February 18, 1967, he was the son of Barbara A. (Berkiel) Amaral of East Providence and Eugene Amaral of West Greenwich, he was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Mr. Amaral attended East Providence High School and was a graduate of the New England Institute of Technology. He loved his faithful dog, Clyde, who will truly miss his buddy. He had a passion for and enjoyed music and many outdoor activities including, skiing, hiking and fishing.

Greg had a great talent for cooking, gardening and woodworking. He was a humble and God loving human being who helped others and did many acts of kindness for those less fortunate. He will be missed not only by his entire family but by so many people who knew him.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Thomas A. Amaral and his wife Jo-Anne of North Easton, MA and Paul J. Amaral of East Providence; a sister, Leslie J. Parente and her husband Richard of Maryland; nieces and nephews, Danielle and Chelsea Amaral; Jessica Alexandria, Jillian and Aaron Amaral; Grace and Jay Parente; aunts, Joanne and the late Albert Divago and Carol and her husband Kenneth Lawler of Florida; a step-mother, Gail Amaral of West Greenwich, Barbara’s companion, Bob Ricci and many cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 27, 2015 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday August 28, 2015 in the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 84 Exeter Road, Exeter, RI at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
