McNulty, Gregory R., 37, of Puritan Avenue, Barrington died unexpectedly on March 23, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Providence, a loving son of Jennifer M. McNulty of Riverside, he was currently residing with his Maher Center family in Barrington.

Mr. McNulty was a volunteer at Action Base Enterprises for many years.

Greg was a communicant of St. Brendan’s Church and was a member of the East Providence Recreation Department. He also was a participant in the Rhode Island Special Olympics.

Greg will be sadly missed by his Maher family; Curtis, Dennis and Frank and the loving and compassionate members of the staff; Kayla, Will, Suzanne, Amber and all others who touched Gregory’s life.

Besides his mother, he is survived by an aunt, Pamela McNulty Reis of East Providence, and uncle, Michael R. McNulty Jr. of Seekonk, MA, several nieces and nephews and his friend and caregiver Ashley Pereira. He was the brother of the late Kayla J. McNulty and nephew of the late Jeanne Anne Sweet and Patricia McNulty.

His Funeral will be held on Monday March 27, 2023 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mark’s Cemetery, 293 East Shore Road, Jamestown. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 p.m.

    I am so sorry to hear of Gregory’s passing. He was always so kind to my mother. Gregory had a special place in her heart. It was so nice to see him in church again. I will keep him in my prayers

    to you to be back in Church. Coming to me with open arms and giving those wonderful hugs after Mass, is something I, always, will hold close to heart!

  7. My sincere condolences to all of Gregory’s family. I will forever remember Gregory and his wonderful hugs he gave me when I was a member of St Brendan’s choir. He would always search me out and run down the aisle to me.

  9. I loved this young man from the time he was a baby and I will miss his hug’s and miss his smiles and our talks aunty Sue loved you even though I wasn’t his real aunt I watched him grow up to the man he was!! I wish I could be there tomorrow to see you but I can’t!

  10. The members of St Brendan’s SPRED are devastated at the loss of our beloved Gregory. He loved our SPRED sessions but even more he LOVED serving at Mass. We will all miss his hugs and love.

    We just found out about Gregory late last evening.
