Rehnberg, Gustave, W., 89, formerly of Francis Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on February 14, 2010 at his daughter’s home in Seekonk, MA. He was the beloved husband of Ruth T.L. (Haggstrom) Rehnberg.

Born in North Providence, a son of the late Carl and Alama (Pearson) Rehnberg, he lived in Riverside for 75 years and Seekonk, MA for 5 years.

Gus was a painter and wallpaper hanger for sixty years before retiring in 1986. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the Riverside Baseball Merchants. He was an active member, usher and Sunday school teacher at the Assembly of God Church for 50 years. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed hockey and baseball. A hard working man, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by two daughters; Barbara R. Grewelle of Springfield, MA and Debra L. Rudkowski of Seekonk, MA, a twin brother; Emil R. Rehnberg of Riverside, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 20, 2010 in the Assembly of God Church, Newport Avenue, South Attleboro, MA at 11 am.
