Hope C. Fitton

Fitton, Hope C., 87, of North Street, Riverside and Englewood, FL, died peacefully on June 24, 2022 at the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Providence.
Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late John M. and Emma C. (St. Pierre) Fournier, she lived in Riverside for many years.
Mrs. Fitton was an Executive Assistant at Hasbro Mfg. for many years before retiring.
Hope, a devoted Catholic, was a daily communicant at St. Brendan Church. She was a Eucharist Minister for Our Lady of Prudence and St. Francis of Assissi, Grove City, FL and was a member of the Lectio Divina in Englewood, FL.
She is survived by a son, Thomas B. Fitton of Riverside; a daughter, Deborah C. Fitton of Englewood, FL and two grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John R. Fitton and sister of the late Doris Bachand and Claire Marnoch.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday June 29, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m.
Calling hours are Tuesday 4-6 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Hope’s memory to the John R. Fitton Memorial Fund, c/o R.I. Foundation, 1 Union Station, Providence, RI, 02903 would be deeply appreciated.
We were saddened to hear of Hope’s passing. She was a light in our lives and we will miss her.

I am very sorry about Hopes death. We spent many happy hours in the water on Prudence . I have a family commitment and cannot attend her funeral. I will pray for her soul.
