Collins, Howard, E., 83, of Lottie Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on August 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anna F. (Iacovone) Collins.

Born in Rantoul, IL, a son of the late William and Ethel (Babb) Collins, he lived in Riverside for 55 years.

Mr. Collins was a mill operator for Texas Instruments, Attleboro, MA for 35 years before retiring in 1990.

Howard was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of the parish Forever Young Club. He was a member and past Grand Knight and 4th Degree Knight of the Riverside Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10.

Mr. Collins was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a son, David H. Collins and his wife Sally of Barrington; a daughter, Kathleen M. DeBarros and her husband Napoleon of Riverside; two grandsons, Jeffrey D. Collins and Benjamin J. Collins; a sister, Alice Ellis and a brother, Robert Collins, both of Illinois. He was the brother of the late Harold, Richard and William Collins.

His funeral will be held on Friday August 7, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m.
