Johnson, Howard, E., 94, of Indian Road, Riverside, died peacefully on June 5, 2013. He was the husband of the late Ann C. (Schneider) Johnson.

Born in Attleboro, MA, a son of the late Frank W. and Eva (Champlin) Johnson, he lived in Riverside for 65 years.

Mr. Johnson was the co-owner of the former F.W. Johnson & Son Building Contractors from 1946-1975.

Howard was a former member of the East Providence Knights of Columbus and the Wannamoisett Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his loving grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Robert E. Johnson of Swansea, MA, Carol A. Brady of Rumford, Beverly E. Maloney of North Providence, Stephen W. Johnson of Somerset, MA, Christine M. Sanders of Seekonk, MA and David P. Johnson of East Providence, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

His funeral was held on Saturday June 8, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial with Military Honors was held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours and flowers were respectfully omitted.
