Irene E. (DelleFemine) Brightman

Brightman, Irene, E., (DelleFemine), 90, of Riverside, died peacefully on February 26, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edwin Perry Brightman.
Born in Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, NYC, NY, a daughter of the late Frank DelleFemine Sr. and Antoniette (Moffa) DelleFemine, she lived in Riverside most of her life.
As a child, Irene won a National Spelling Bee in New York and was an honor student. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to dance.
Irene was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of its Forever Young Club. She worked as an inspector at General Electric-Providence Base Works, and the Main Post Office in Providence. She previously was a coat check attendant at the Alhambra Ballroom, Crescent Park.
She is survived by a daughter; Pamela A. Brightman of Riverside, two sons; Thomas A. Brightman of Riverside and Bruce E. Brightman of Cranston, three grandchildren; Derek, Kenneth and Cherie Brightman, a great grandson; Dylan Brightman and two brothers; Olivo V. DelleFemine of Laconia, NH and Edward DelleFemine of Coventry. She was the sister of the late Frank DelleFemine Jr., Marco DelleFemine and Molly (DelleFemine) Souza and step-daughter of the late Ida (Nassi) DelleFemine.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 2, 2011 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 pm.
