Wilson, Irene, P., 93, of County Road, died peacefully on May 1, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William F. Wilson.

Born in Barrington, a daughter of the late Vincent F. and Angelina (Gladue) Phillips, she lived in Barrington for 50 years and Riverside for 43 years.

Mrs. Wilson was a clerk for the former Gorham Mfg. for eight years before retiring in 1942.

Irene was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She was a member of the Barrington Senior Center and a former Cub Scout leader. She was a volunteer for the Odyssey Health Care of RI where she donated crocheted items.

She is survived by a son; Bernard J. Wilson and his wife Deborah of Barrington, two great granddaughters; Caitlin and Brianna Wilson, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late William F. Wilson II and Robert Wilson and sister of the late Angelina Urban, Rita Mellow, Muriel Marchand, Vincent and Clarence Phillips.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday May 5, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Entombment will follow in the family Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
