Ruggieri, Irene, (Surgento), 91, of Barrington, passed away peacefully while asleep at the Evergreen Nursing Home on Monday October 5, 2015. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Ruggieri Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Matthew and Laura Surgento, she lived in Barrington 26 years.

Mrs. Ruggieri was a manager at the former Cherry & Webb Clothing Store for 20 years before retiring in 1991.

Irene was a seamstress and was a member of the former Riverside Homemaker’s Club.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Ruggieri Jr. and his wife Deborah of Cumberland and Robert J. Ruggieri of Barrington; a beloved daughter, Lori Ann Robinson and her husband William of Riverside; a brother, Michael Surgento of Warren, numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Madeline Demaris, Matthew, Joseph and Anthony Surgento.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington on Thursday October 8, 2015 at 10 a.m celebrated by her nephew, Rev. James T. Ruggieri. Burial will be held in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
