MAROT, ISABELLE, D., (PAIVA),88, formerly of Pine Crest Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on April 7, 2018. Isabelle was a lifelong resident of Riverside, RI. She was the daughter of the late John and Eliza Paiva.
Isabelle enjoyed her home of 68 years and was very active in her community. She worked for Riverside Nursing Home for 25 years until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Brendan’s Church, volunteered in numerous church activities and was especially proud to serve on the team that cleaned the church each week. Isabelle was a sun worshiper and loved spending her summers on West Island at their family summer home. She loved to dance, was a talented seamstress, knitter, gardener, baker of beautiful cakes, and was famous for her fruitcake. For many years she volunteered her time to the Girl Scouts and loved being involved in their activities. She was a proud member of the East Providence High School Class of 1947 Reunion Committee.
She enjoyed many lifelong friendships and was known for always being the first to lend a helping hand. We will carry her memories in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Marot of Kingstown, RI and a daughter, Marilyn Adams of Savannah, GA, and predeceased by her daughter Barbara Marot. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kelly O’Donnell of Mooresville, NC, Marcy Feeney of North Kingstown, RI, and Jonathan Adams of Savannah, GA. She loved and enjoyed her 5 great grandchildren, Andy & Isabelle O’Donnell, Raegan & Benjamin Feeney, and Shay Adams. She is survived by her siblings Gloria Ferguson, Agnes Huling, and John Paiva. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Ramsden, Elizabeth Muoio, Dennis Paiva and Frank Paiva.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday April 12, 2018 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 5-7 p.m.

  2. I am verry sorry for the loss of Mrs Marot who was my Girl Scout Leader and good freind to my Mom and me George Carool from West Island told me of the passing of Mrs Marot I work with him at the RI Vets Home

  4. I had the pleasure of living across the street from Isabelle for almost 30 years. She was so generous with all of her baking and crafts. A holiday never went by that she didn’t think of my 2 children. We miss her dearly. Kenny and Marilyn you are both in our thoughts and prayers.
