Schmidt, J., Gary, 65, of Sachem Road, died peacefully on April 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband and soul mate of Kerrie (Cox) Schmidt.

Born in San Diego, CA, a son of Doris (Meagher) Schmidt of Pensacola, FL and the late William Schmidt, he lived in North Kingstown for many years.

Gary was a graduate of North Kingstown High School Class of 1967.

Besides his wife of 35 years, he is survived by two daughters; Jessica L. Rosseau and her husband Thomas J. Rosseau of Warwick and Mallorie A. Schmidt and her fianc Jason A. Terry of Warwick, a granddaughter; Kamryn J. Terry., a sister; Donna Schmidt Welch, two brothers; Paul and Steven Schmidt all of Pensacola, FL, and his devoted dog Lucy.
