James A. Pezzullo Jr.

Pezzullo, James, A., Jr., 96, formerly of Pezzullo Avenue, died peacefully on February 8, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Audrey (Carlson) Pezzullo and the late Roberta (Leonardo) Pezzullo.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Norato) Pezzullo.

Mr. Pezzullo was a bookkeeper and General Manager at the Rhode Island Country Club for 35 years. He also was a Manager at the Quequechan Club, Fall River, MA, Crestwood Country Club, Rehoboth, MA and the Squantum Association. He was a graduate of Barrington High School Class of 1937. He attended the Franklin Institute and the Management Institute of America. He was past President the National Chapter and the New England Club Managers Association.

James was a communicant of Holy Angels Church. He was a member of the Riverside Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus and the Barrington American Legion Post #8.

Mr. Pezzullo was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by three daughters, Paula J. Rego of East Providence, Roberta Belanger of Taunton, MA and Michelle Larney of Cranston; a son, James A. Pezzullo III of Barrington; four step-children, Scott F. Hopkins of East Providence, Donna L. Turner of Newton, MA Robin Schober of East Providence and Christopher Hopkins of Warwick; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Concetta Drapeau, Kathryn Raponi, Phyllis, Jessie, Emelio, Harry, Albert, Michael and Joseph Pezzullo II.

His funeral will be held on Friday February 12, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church,341 Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington.
