Rieck, James B., 85, of Reardon Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on September 8, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Nancy M. (Morin) Rieck.

Born in Nutley, NJ, a son of the late Howell and Florence M. (Feltus) Rieck, he lived in Riverside for 55 years.

Mr. Rieck was a mechanical engineer for Electric Boat, Groton, CT for 20 years before retiring in 1993.

James was a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design Class of 1953. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, procrastinating and watching television.

Mr. Rieck was a United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rieck of Riverside and Kristina Travers of Glocester; two sons, J. Michael Rieck of Ashland, MA and Matthew Rieck of Trinity, NC and six grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John H. Rieck.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 14 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Calling hours are Tuesday 5-8 p.m.
