Cantrell, James H., 79, of Narragansett Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully at home on December 23, 2018. He was the husband of Florence (Kugler) Cantrell.

Born in Goodlettes, TN, a son of the late Jefferie L. Cantrell Sr. and Hattie (Patton) Stanton, he lived in Riverside for 36 years.

Mr. Cantrell was a manager-toolmaker for many years.

Besides his wife of twenty five years, he is survived by his children, James Cantrell of TN, Jeffrey Cantrell of Riverside, Jeffrey, Anthony, Joanne and Leslie Ratchford, Matthew, Renita and Maureen Harris all of Providence, Doreen Harris-Miller of East Providence and Aliz Harris of Central Falls; his brothers and sister, Billie Carey, Web Stanton and Ronald Staton all of TN, Jeffery, Phobe, Donald, Cheryl and John Dale Cantrell, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Beverly Stanton and Billy Cantrell.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday evening December 26, 2018 at 8 p.m. in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside.

Calling hours are Wednesday 6-8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in James’s memory to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI, 02914 would be deeply appreciated.
