Sylvia, Jeannette, E., 83, of Lake Avenue, died peacefully on February 2, 2011. She was the wife of the late Karl M. Sylvia.

Born in Barrington, a daughter of the late Michael and Isabelle (Paquette) O’Neil, she was a lifelong resident of Barrington and wintered in Sun City West, AZ.

Mrs. Sylvia was a cashier at the former Almac’s Food store for 25 years before retiring in 1989.

Jeannette was a communicant of Holy Angel Church. She enjoyed golfing, socializing with family and friends and her backyard pool parties.

She is survived by her children; Karl M. and Mary (Marrese) Sylvia of Barrington and Karen L. and Chuck Barry of Lake Worth, FL, five grandchildren; Stephen, Sarah, Matthew, Jennifer and Chad and a great grandson; Charlie. She was the sister of the late John, Joseph and Margaret O’Neil.

Her funeral will be held on Monday February 7, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angel Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
