Sprague, Joan E., 80, of Irving Avenue, East Providence, died peacefully on July 5, 2023 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Sprague.

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late John and Frances (Coughlin) Clavin, she was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Mrs. Sprague was an Assembler for Uniroyal Tire for many years before retiring in 1998.

Joan enjoyed traveling to Florida, going to Foxwoods and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by two daughters, Darleen Cabral of Riverside and Norma Steadman of Providence, a sister, Nancy Tracy of Warwick; seven grandchildren, Joanne, Amanda, Kelly, Laura, Holly, Megan and Erin and eleven great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Diane Gouveia and Denise Anderson and grandmother of the late John H. Aronson III.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 11, 2023 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 3 p.m. Calling hours are Tuesday 1-3 p.m.
