Kidney, Joan, (Reynolds), 64, of Sweet Allen Farm Road, died peacefully on February 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William A. Kidney.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Howard Reynolds and Ida Anna (DiSalvo) Reynolds-Glines, she lived in South Kingstown for 10 years previously residing in East Greenwich.

Mrs. Kidney was a teacher’s assistant at The Trudeau Center, Warwick for 20 years before retiring in 2011.

Joan enjoyed gardening and spending time on the beach.

Besides her husband of 10 years, she is survived by a daughter, Whitney R. Dority of Westerly, a son, Mark B. Stevens of Westerly; two sisters, Katherine R. Savage and her husband John of The Villages, Florida and Susan A. Nimmo and her husband Thomas of Providence; three brothers, Joseph F. Reynolds of Wareham, MA, Howard J. Reynolds of East Providence and John A. Reynolds and his wife Ruth of East Providence; two grandchildren, Andrew J. Furtado and Xavier B. Stevens and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday February 20, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 1 p.m. Calling hours are from 12 noon- 1 p.m. Burial will be held in St. Alexander Cemetery, Warren.
