McDevitt, Joanne, (Lanni), 65, of Washington Avenue, died peacefully on Monday June 18, 2012. She was the former wife of Joseph McDevitt.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Balasco) Lanni, she lived in Riverside for eight years previously residing in Pawtucket.

Joanne was a private duty CNA for 10 years.

She is survived by a son; Joseph A. McDevitt of Riverside, a step-son; William Whitmarsh of Portsmouth, two sisters; Barbara Geyer of North Providence and Lorraine Perez of Riverside and two brothers; Anthony and John Lanni, both of East Providence. She was the sister of the late Sharon Amaral.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday June 21, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 5-8 pm.
