John J. McAree Sr.

McAree, John J., Sr., 83, of Bay Spring Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on November 17, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Mary P. (Whitman) McAree.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Helen Brunt, he lived in Barrington for the past 6 years.
Mr. McAree was a salesman for Gerber products before retiring in 1967.
John was a graduate of LaSalle Academy Class of 1953 and Providence College Class of 1978.
Mr. McAree was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by two sons, John J. McAree Jr. of Barrington and James P. McAree of Barrington and a grandson, Patrick Ryan McAree.
His funeral service will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be held in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
