John P. Gomes Sr., 54, of Blanding Avenue, East Providence, died unexpectedly on December 12, 2021 at Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

Born in Cranston, a son of Agnes (Najarian) Gomes of Riverside and the late John S. Gomes, he lived in East Providence for 21 years.

Mr. Gomes was a laborer for the Coca Cola Company, Providence for the past 2 years.

John was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1984.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Hollie M. Gomes of Warwick; a son, John Paul Gomes Jr. of East Providence; two sisters and his devoted grand pets, Addie, Cooper, Penny and Emmie.

A private funeral service will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

  3. I got the chance to meet John on a few different occasions. One time I was going threw a bit of a rough patch in my life and he had said to me your always welcome in my home. I’m good friends with his son, John, and it was kind of like having a second father. He will always be missed.❤❤
