MacKnight, John, R., 81, formerly of Park Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on Thursday September 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Albro) MacKnight.

Born in Clinton, MA, a son of the late George and Margaret (Casson) MacKnight, he was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mr. MacKnight was a pipe fitter at Electric Boat for 12 years before retiring in 1996. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by a son, Robert D. MacKnight of Greenville; a daughter, Susan A. Lamora of Bristol; three grandchildren; a brother, Donald MacKnight of Illinois and his twin brother, James W. MacKnight of Portsmouth. He was the brother of the late George MacKnight.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday September 5, 2015 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Calling hours are Saturday morning 9-10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Rumford Cemetery, Rumford.
