Correia, Jose, M., 61, of Donnelly Street, died peacefully on July 22, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maria F. (Medeiros) Correia.

Born in Portugal, a son of Jose Correia and Adelaide (deCosta) Correia, he lived in East Providence for 11 years.

Mr. Correia was a jewelry polisher for Victory Polishing Mfg. for 28 years.

Jose enjoyed playing soccer.

Besides his wife of 34 years, he is survived by two daughters, Lia Rodriguez of East Providence and Debbie Chamberlain of East Providence; two sons, Steven Correia of East Providence and Jeffrey Correia of East Providence; three sisters and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late George Correia.

His funeral will be held on Friday July 25, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse Street, Providence at 10 a.m. Graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m.
