Correira, Joseph A., 40, of Riverside, died unexpectedly on October 10, 2021 at home. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie L. (Doyle) Correira.

Born in Providence, a son of Richard Correira of Bristol and Theresa (Raposa) Darling of Seekonk, MA, he was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mr. Correira was a General Manager at Seekonk Grand Prix since 2013.

Joseph was a loving husband and father. He was kind, compassionate and a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed sharing his love for mechanics, dirt biking, fishing, boating, skiing and camping with his children. He was a member of the Marked Men for Christ Ministry and New Hope Christian Church of Swansea, MA. Joe will be remembered for his strong faith and his love for his family. He will be greatly missed.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Camryn, Isaac, Cory and Amelia Correira all of Riverside; his stepfather, Wayne Darling, stepbrother, David Darling of Lincoln, two stepsisters, Abigail Luger and her husband Bernard of Seekonk, MA and Jillian Darling of Pennsylvania; his uncles, Eddie Franco of Riverside, George Shea of East Providence, Robert Correira of Bristol and his aunt Lois Darling of MA; his godparents, John and Dorothy Enos of Bristol; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Richard W. Correira.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday October 19, 2021 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. A graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Joseph’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 would be deeply appreciated.

  1. I cant believe i heard this so late. He was my boss and a very good friend we used to go back to his house after work and have have a couple beers and cut down trees and put up insulation in his shed. He showed me so much and was the only boss i had that cared for me and taught me how to work better. He even showed me how to weld. I looked him up to give him a call and seen that this has happened. I know he is in heaven we talked about god a bit and i know hes happy. Sucks to lose a good guy but he is definitely looking fown on his friends and family
