Jackson, Joseph, S., Jr., ‘Jay’, 57, of Euston Avenue, died peacefully on April 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Tracey J. (Shanley) Jackson.

Born in Providence, a son of Joseph Samuel Jackson Sr. of Cranston and the late Mary Elizabeth (McGauley) Jackson, he was a lifelong resident of Cranston.

Mr. Jackson was a pipe fitter for Fraser Engineering Co. for many years. He was a graduate of Cranston East High School Class of 1976.

Jay enjoyed deep sea diving, cooking, boating and spending time on the ocean.

Besides his wife and father, he is survived by three sons, Joseph Samuel Jackson III of Cranston, Zachary Robert Jackson of North Providence and Ryan Grant Jackson of Cranston, a sister, Susan A. Jackson of New York City, NY; a brother, Paul J. Jackson of Wellesley, MA, several nieces, nephews and cousins and his devoted dog, Chanel. He was the grandson of the late Agnes Frances McGauley.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday evening April 18 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:30 p.m. Calling hours are Monday 4:30-7:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Contributions in Jay’s memory to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, New York, 10006 would be deeply appreciated.
