Simoes, Joseph, Jr., 50, of Church Street, died unexpectedly on September 9, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Terry A. (Davey) Simoes.

Born in Providence, a son of Joseph Simoes Sr. of Riverside and the late Joan (Rego) Simoes, he was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Mr. Simoes was a maintenance supervisor at the Moses Brown School, Providence for 25 years before retiring in 2013 due to illness.

A sports enthusiast, Joseph was a devoted New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides his father and wife of 22 years, he is survived by a sister, Rose Almeida and her husband Anthony of Rehoboth, MA; his aunt, Rose Nascimento of Riverside; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his fur baby, ‘Abbie.’

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday September 12 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 1 p.m.
