Dube, Joyce C., 83, of Highview Avenue, died unexpectedly on April 27, 2018.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late P. Joseph and C. Madelyn (Creamer) Finneran, she lived in Barrington for 43 years.

Mrs. Dube was a graduate from the former St. Patrick’s High School and also graduated from Roger Williams College Class of 1990.

Mrs. Dube was a Supervisory Deputy Clerk for the Rhode Island Family Court for 30 years before retiring in 1996.

Joyce was a communicant, Eucharistic Minister, religious education teacher at St. Luke Church, where she also was a member of the Parish Council and an active member of its Young at Heart Club.

Mrs. Dube was the past President of the Georgiaville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Smithfield. She was a co-founder of the adult CYO Council of St. Michael Church and catechist for the parish.

Joyce was very active in the Providence North and the Diocese of Providence Catholic Youth Organizations. She also was a member of the Barrington Women’s Association and the A.F.S.M.E.

She is survived by a son, Gregory A. Carrara Esq. and his wife Kelly (McGowan) Carrara of Barrington; a devoted and loving grandmother to her four grandchildren, Emily, Kate, Molly and Zachary Carrara and a sister, Virginia M. Finneran of Warwick.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 p.m.
