Fialho, Kathleen A., (Mello), 76, of Legion Way, Riverside, died peacefully on October 16, 2020. She was the wife of Joseph A. Fialho.

Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bella (Tavares) Mello, she lived in Riverside since 1965.

Mrs. Fialho was a data entry operator for the former Almacs Supermarket for 15 years before retiring in 1994.

Kathleen was a graduate of Warren High School Class of 1962. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Florida and she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Besides her husband of 20 years, she is survived by two sons, James M. Mumma III of Dartmouth, MA and Brian C. Mumma of Smithfield; four grandchildren; Gregory, Daniel, Matthew and Gracie Mumma; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Sousa, Irene Troiano, Joseph, Raymond and Charles Mello.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday October 24, 2020 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 3 p.m. Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. The guidelines set forth by the Rhode Island Department of Health will be observed. Face coverings are required and only fifteen people will be allowed in the building at a time.

  3. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I have known Kathy’s family for many years. Her sister Irene was one of my best friends.

  4. So sad to learn of my cousins passing. She was like a sister to me, and along with many of our other cousins, grew up on Vernon Street and went to the same schools. She was a wonderful person who deeply cared for others especially her family. No doubt she will be missed by all who knew her. Condolences to Joe, her sons Brian and Jim and their families. May she forever rest in peace.
