Lawson, Kay E., 66, of Randall Street, died peacefully on October 3, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Lloyd P. Lawson Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Potter) Johnson, she was a lifelong resident of Providence.

Mrs. Lawson enjoyed crocheting, solving puzzles and loved her pets and animals.

Besides her husband of forty eight years, she is survived by a daughter, Christina L. Johnson and her husband Larry E. Johnson of Inglewood, California; a son, Lloyd P. Lawson Jr. of Providence; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Carol Williams, Lynn Rodrigues and her husband David, twin sisters, Jo-Ann Fernandez and her husband Raymond, Joan Calvit and her husband Lee; four brothers, Arthur Johnson, Michael Johnson and his wife Barbara, Allen Johnson and his wife Julie and David Johnson; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday October 10, 2020 in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 3 p.m. Calling hours are 2-3 p.m. A private burial will be held in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
