Pearson, Kenneth, A., 88, of Maple Avenue, died peacefully on May 26, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Penelope A. (Leach) Pearson.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was the son of the late Albert and Edwina (Thibeault) Pearson.

Mr. Pearson was a custodian for the Barrington School Department for 20 years before retiring in 1994.

Kenneth was a communicant of Sts. Matthew & Mark Episcopal Church and a 64 year member of the Barrington American Legion Post #8. A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted New England sports fan.

Mr. Pearson was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by a son, Kenneth A. Pearson Jr. of Maine; two daughters, Susan E. Lombardi of Barrington and Kimberly A. Jolicoeur of Barrington; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Beverly Grundy and brother of the late Pearl Croasdale, Arline Bettencourt and Raymond Pearson.

His funeral will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a funeral service in Sts. Matthew & Mark Episcopal Church, 5 Chapel Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
