Clarke, Kenneth, D., 82, of Whitaker Avenue, Rumford, died peacefully on Friday December 7, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne E. (Harwood) Clarke.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Kenneth D. and Ethel (Gordon) Clarke, he lived in Rumford for 65 years.

Mr. Clarke was a pressman for the Providence Journal Co. and the former Providence Gravure for 25 years before retiring in 1983.

Kenneth attended the Rhode Island School of Design. An artist, he painted with oils and water colors.

Besides his wife of 50 years, he is survived by a son; Kenneth D. Clarke Jr. of Palm Bay, FL, a sister; Gladys Murino of Rumford, a brother; Gordon Clarke of Satellite Beach, FL, two grandchildren; Shelby and Dalton Clarke and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be private. Burial will be held in Moshassuck Cemetery. Arrangements are by the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, Riverside.
